The Nova Scotia Public Lands Coalition (NSPLC) has also identified the public lands of the Blue Mountain-Birch Cove Lakes wilderness as one of nineteen provincial “hotspots” in need of immediate protection. The NSPLC consists of over 50 community, environmental, outdoor recreation, and tourism organizations across Nova Scotia.
