Irreplaceable Chignecto

The Nova Scotia government has committed to establishing a “large” wilderness area on public lands within, and near, the Chignecto Game Sanctuary. The final boundaries of this protected wilderness area have yet to be determined, leaving the entire area vulnerable to clearcutting, open-pit mining, seismic testing, and a wide range of other industrial activities.
Your help is urgently needed. Please let the Premier know that Chignecto is important to you.

In your letter or email, you may want to consider asking the Premier to protect ALL of the public lands near Chignecto as a protected wilderness area and to declare the area off-limits to industrial activities while the protected area discussions take place.
