Moratorium on Port Mouton fish farming announced

Effective immediately, the Nova Scotia government has called a moratorium on the expansion of fin farm aquaculture in Port Mouton Bay. The Nova Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society welcomes this decision. Our organization will be examining the details of this announcement when they are made available, as we work to ensure the protection of Nova Scotia’s important coastal environment.
